Supporting Buddies C.A.N with secure, people-first IT

Buddies C.A.N is a Ballarat-based NDIS provider supporting people with disabilities through a large and growing team of support workers and administrative staff. With approximately 130 support workers, and 30 staff across administration and management roles, Buddies C.A.N relies heavily on technology to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient services.

As the organisation grew, its technology environment became increasingly complex. Systems, processes, and security measures were inconsistent, and responsibility for IT tasks often fell to internal staff — increasing risk in an industry that handles highly sensitive client information.

In December 2024, Buddies C.A.N partnered with Mason-Brown IT to rebuild their IT environment from the ground up and introduce a proactive, managed service model that could support both their people and their clients.

The Challenges
